On August 2, 1981 a 16,000 ton freighter, The Primrose sank near the North Sentinel Island.
The North Sentinel island is a beautiful white sand island harbouring a coral reef. The island is inhabited by indigenous people who have been cut off from the rest of the human world till date. Attempts were made to contact residents of this island but has resulted in no success.
The Primrose ship wreck lies to the north of the island and it's coordinates are lat: 11.593485, lng: 92.212602.
